Disney Blues
We have been having a bit of Disney blues lately. As of the tenth it has officially been over a year since we went to Disneyland, and there are no plans to go for some time to come *sniff*. So, we plan on a having a very Merry Mickey Mouse Christmas to make up for it! Details to follow as the season draws near . . .

The Colors of Fall.
I love autumn; the warm sweaters, the crackling fire, the steaming hot chocolate. But I especially love the warm and vibrant colors that grace so many of our trees and shrubs.
Summertime greens change into hot reds, vibrant oranges, stunning yellows, and soft peaches, creating such a dazzling canvas even Vincent Van Gogh could not enhance God’s delectable design.Monday, November 7, 2011
Whoosh!!!
Ahhh!!! “Time? Here time!” Seriously, time is passing at an alarming rate. With winter looming around the corner, the “to do” list has become the “Urgent! Must do!” list. I have pushed all the outdoor projects to the top of my priorities; thus far I have harvested the tomatoes (though I have yet to pull up all the vines), picked six perfect little pumpkins, and planted cabbage, broccoli, and cauliflower. Then to gather wood from around the property, organize and take in the recycle (this should be #1, thank goodness we have a big garage), and take care of the chickens we do not want to winter-over.
Unfortunately, after running full steam trying to get something crossed off my yard-long list, the last thing I feel like doing is sitting down and writing about it; besides, does the World Wide Web really want to hear about tomato horn worms and chicken drama? All I generally feel like doing at the end of the day is sitting down to a good movie with a bowl of popcorn and a cup of tea . . . and a few pieces of chocolate . . . maybe some cheese and crackers . . . one of the rules of being a night owl is you must eat at night!
I digress. The point of this post was to clear the dust from my poor neglected blog. I started this blog for several reasons, one being that I wanted a scrapbook of all the important things that come along life’s road. So on that note, I cannot believe it is already November!!!! I need to get blogging and I need to pull out the pilgrim decorations. Where did I put that list . . . ?

North Carolina Trip, Day 4 - The Biltmore Estate.
The chateau is absolutely stunning!!!
I especially love the two stone lions guarding the entrance.
The detail is extraordinary.
The front of the chateau overlooks this beautiful fountain.
The Italian Garden.
It had some of the most gorgeous water lilies I have ever seen.
Silly girls!
The Walled Garden, the rose section.
Still in the Walled Garden heading toward the very large greenhouse.
I would like one of these please!
The greenhouse contains various sections, each at a different temperature to accommodate a plethora of species.
The boat house off the man-made bass pond.
Another picture perfect moment.

North Carolina Trip, Days 1 & 2.
I am back! Actually I have been back for nearly a week, but with needing to recuperate from vacationing and trying to get back in the swing of daily life, I have not had time to sit down and blog about it! Mom and I had so much fun visiting my Aunt Cindy and Uncle Cliff; we laughed, played games, shopped, ate, and saw a few of the most beautiful sites the state of North Carolina has to offer.
Day 1. On our way!
Opening presents.
Sisters.
Playing Toy Story Mania Wii (mom was really good!)
Day 2. Birthday dinner at The Melting Pot.
The cute couple.
Mom and me.
Happy Birthday Cindy!
