Gobble! Gobble!

While at the farm today, I was lucky enough to see a wild turkey in full display.  This tom strutted and cooed at four hens that did not pay him any mind, but we all know that little game.  The alluring turkey strut is just one more sign that spring is truly here to stay; I need to start planning my veggie patch!  Gobble!  Gobble!  Till later then!

School Blues

I have not even reached the halfway point in the semester and I am already sick and tired of school.  Syllabuses do not understand when you are not feeling well or just need a break; they stare back at you with their black-and-white assignments, unfeeling, and certainly not understanding.  I am starting to count down the weeks till I can return the books, toss the homework, and burn the Syllabus!  Once I am finished with these classes, I do not think I will ever willingly chain myself to a classroom again.  I am not sure if it is because I was homeschooled, or because I dislike being told what to do, but I learn best with a desire in my heart, a goal in my head, and tools in my hands.  Sometimes that tool is a book, sometimes a trowel, and at times nothing at all.  T-minus eleven weeks, here I come May 24th, I hope I make it without losing my mind!

Springing Forward

It is here!  Daylight savings time!  That beautiful day that messes up our internal clocks and makes time feel odd and out of place for at least a week.  Actually, it will be nice having longer sunnier evenings, and thankfully I have a pretty free calendar the next week so I have plenty of adjusting time. With the clocks moving forward and the spring equinox less than two weeks away, I should probably take down the snowflake decorations, maybe then we will actually get some snow!

Hmmmmmmmm

I spent my morning studying for a test, discovering I left my scantrons at home (I'm house-sitting and taking care of three dogs) I had to spend a whopping $0.43 for one at the bookstore.  I got to class, settled down, started going over my notes, when someone from the office arrived to let us know the teacher could not make it so class was canceled.  On the bright side I got to go home and have dinner with my family, on the downside my business class will be playing syllabus catch-up for a while, and we are already behind in the lecture schedule.
